Westfield Parramatta has rapidly become a fashion hub like no other. The popular retailer hosted a night of fashion and glamour last Thursday evening, appropriately dubbed “Design your Destiny” where guests were invited to make their sartorial dreams come true.

Former Miss World Australia, Erin Holland, commenced the evening with a stunning vocal rendition of “Somewhere over the Rainbow” (who knew she could sing too?!) while guests sipped on champagne and martinis. The performance set the scene for a spectacular evening of fashion, curated by stylist Donny Galella. Donny is well-regarded by the fashion set for dressing Australia’s biggest style icons.

Donny hand-selected the newest and freshest pieces from Westfield Parramatta’s most covetable collections and sent them down the run-way in front of Sydney’s most influential fash pac.

We all took a style cue from Donny who presented the tips and tricks we need to master for this season’s must-know trends: seventies silhouettes, light-coloured coats worn like a pashmina, the neck tie, shoulder-bearing cuts, sharp tailoring, plum hues and gold accoutrements.

The atmosphere following the show was gorgeous. Guests were invited to design their own culinary destiny at the martini-salad bar, taco hub and desert bar for the post-show debrief before heading into the stores to shop the runway.

Whether it’s a statement dress or a go-with-everything coat, new pieces this season by Camilla, By Johnny, Seduce and more are just the ticket to bolster your wardrobe this winter.
