“Fit is the New Skinny” at TARGET

Fit is the new skinny. It is also the new fashion.

This mantra has been gaining popularity online and in social media – girls want to get fit and toned, all while looking good doing it. For this reason, sports wear has trickled into the mainstream and has become quite popular among the fashion set.

Sportswear brands continue to collaborate with high-end designers and personally, I’ve embraced this healthy fashion statement. However, I won’t stretch the budget for clothing that I will be sweating in and washing often. I need stylish and technical apparel that makes my post-workout-appearance suitable for streetwear … without breaking the bank.

As I’ve said previously, Target has been using high-quality fabrics and borrowing inspiration from luxury designers. This range includes performance pieces with a fashion edge, including lightweight breathable t-shirts, high-impact sports-bras, form-fitting pants and colourful sneakers.

Target’s range of sportswear is highly functional and suits my fast-paced, highly-mobile, full lifestyle. I don’t have the time (or inclination) to shower at the gym and return to my pre-workout clothes – I just want to gracefully make the transition out of the gym and back into my manic life.
