Usually my coat plays the supporting role in my outfit. But this one deserves the lead.
Mr Dipity and I are going out with some friends tonight for a catch-up which is well-overdue (first our kids were sick then our friends were sick then somethingoranother happened and before you knew it, it’s been 6 months since we’ve seen them). It’s our friend’s birthday so we’re using that as the excuse to leave the kids behind and drink expensive wine.
It’s still cold in the evenings, so I’m taking my Alex Perry coat out tonight. I remember when I spotted it in Perry’s show room; it instantly evoked a sense of playful elegance – the abstract floral pattern plays surprisingly to the label’s signature feminine style. I couldn’t wait to take it home and have some fun with it.
Styled effortlessly with a complementary pink lip and black pumps (and a black body-con dress underneath). But I won’t be taking this baby off tonight so it’s certainly not a case of “what’s inside that counts”. PS Just after I took this photo, I changed bags and opted for something a little smaller. There were no nappies or baby wipes to carry so went back into it’s dust-bag. Sorry, I don’t have an after-shot – we were already running late #storyofmylife.
