Taming Leopard

Snapped some fun shots before taking the little ones to their friend’s birthday party. Since the event is in the afternoon at their home, I needed a toned-down look with a provision for the cooler evening weather (the winds are still blowing a gale).

This was a no-brainer.

Now, I have always said “I hate animal prints … I will never, never, never wear animal prints”. Coming from a professional industry, it was always frowned upon – “it shows questionable judgment” (think Snooky). Then … I walk into French Connection, see this easy chambray dress and suddenly, I’m amenable to the idea of leopard print.  Well not entirely – this is quite a tame look.

Just an amazing, easy to wear, lightweight chambray dress; ideal for downtime dressing during the trans-season. And, unlike its heavier cousin, denim; chambray is unrestrictive – perfect for navigating through children on a sugar-high.

This cat has met her match.

So, if you’re going to embrace your wild side, perhaps a hint of leopard or a muted colour is enough of the feline print. Or make like lily Aldridge and take the look to your accessories.

I could’ve accessorized with a leather alligator cuff, but sometimes a plush teddy is the ultimate accoutrement.
