It’s been almost 10 years since I got married and, for its time, it was a lavish affair – complete with a banquet for 360 guests, pyrotechnics, a floral centerpiece adorning each table and a gown flown in from Paris. And yet it was nothing like the grand, ceremonious weddings we are accustomed to today.
Weddings have always been an important part of the fabric of our lives, but nowadays brides demand luxury services for a luxury occasion that commands luxury prices. Australian brides have wedding planners and stylists that work magic to make their Instagram feeds a reality, taking the wedding experience to the next level. At the epicenter of all this is Australia’s favourite wedding blog and social media powerhouse, Wedded Wonderland.
Through its beautiful social media offerings, Wedded Wonderland has made weddings fashionable and reshaped the Australian wedding industry as we know it; proving to the world that the wedding industry can, in fact, do fashion.
We see it on our Instagram feeds: ornate floor-to-ceiling flower walls, battery-operated letter lights, multiple-tier wedding cakes adorned with dazzling crystals and brides in several, exquisite designer gowns.
Last Thursday night, Wedded Wonderland brought this fantasy to life at its official unveiling in an opulent media and celebrity winter-themed-affair at the prestigious five-star boutique hotel, the InterContinental Sydney Double Bay.
A fitting location for Wedded Wonderland to host Sir Jeff Leatham , all the way from Paris, in a breathtaking celebration of the Australian wedding industry, showcasing their industry prowess.
The beautifully-clad guests, who included Steven Khalil, Josh Flinn, Terry Biviano, Blainey North and Andriana Chidiac, were welcomed with a glass of Aubert French Champagne in magnificently cut Waterford Crystal stemware while serenaded to the sweet beats of Brown Sugar.
Upon entering the ballroom, it was abundantly clear that Wedded Wonderland had enlisted the help of the industry’s finest suppliers. This may have included Princess Elsa, who turned a sofa into ice and froze fresh orchids into ice cubes on each table.
Guests were treated to a designer runway featuring the latest collections from Australians finest couturiers while they feasted on an opulent three-course dinner, fit for the industry’s most discerning guest, beneath hundreds of fresh tulips suspended from overhead … all while snowflakes gently descended from the ceiling in chilled air.
The winter-themed, mythical evening brought our Instragram feeds alive and confirmed the rumors that Wedded Wonderland is the go-to destination for all things weddings and events.
The past is in the past!
