Wild and crazy prints were all over the autumn/fall runways.
But that’s not the real reason I reached for this shift dress. The bold, graphic, quasi-psychedelic print just screamed 1960’s to me – reminiscent of another era. One that my parents remember fondly. A time of rock-and-roll, turmoil and revolution. I suppose we’re constantly nostalgic of times-gone-by and our fashion choices are merely a reflection of that.
I’m not going to a fancy dress party so I won’t go full swing (excuse the pun) with the styling. No pixie-cut, no cat eye glasses and definitely no headband.
Just a high-neck, mini A-line shift dress with bell-sleeves, kitten heels and an injection of colour. That’s enough 60’s sensibility for me as I head out for a long day in the office.
